No matter what type of hair you have, be it curly or straight, if your
hair is long then there are hair styles to suit you. Hair styles for
long hair do not work that well if the hair is fine, or if the face is
narrow and long in shape. But for hair that has a nice medium to thick
texture, then there is plenty that can be done. Long hair can take some
preparation, due to the amount of hair on the head. If you are pushed
for time, then a classic style such as a pony tail or multiple pony
tails can be created quickly. If you are feeling more adventurous and
are planning a trip to the hair salon, two styles which are good for
those with long hair are the Long Undercut and the Long Graduated Cut.
The Long Undercut is similar to a shoulder length 'bob' style hair cut.
The hair cut begins at the bottom and works it way to the top. This
makes each individual layer slightly longer than the layer beneath it.
What this does is to give the hair a heavier look at the ends with a
slight under curve. If the hair is curly to begin with, then the under
curl at the ends will be more prominent.
The Long Graduated Cut starts from bottom to top.
Each individual layer gets shorter as it works its way up and ends by
blending into the top. If the hair is curly or wavy to begin with, then
this hair style works well. Also, this style works better on medium to
thick hair but not so well on fine hair. Having long hair gives the
person many choices of hairstyle. And with the right hairstylist working
his or her magic, then the options for different hairstyles are only
limited by the imagination of the stylist.
